Day 11, today our destination was Hualien City. The distance was not far. However, some bad thing happened. The vice leader’s chain was broken. Unfortunately, on the day 10 we arrived in remote area. It was really hard to find out a place to fix the bike. The leaders suggested others dreamers keeping going to next destination. Some dreamers who specialized in bike would stay to find out a way to fix vice leader’s bike. In today’s journey, we still enjoyed the beautiful landscape of Hualien. We still could see fishing village. It was different from sea view. Furthermore, some dreamers including me accompanied with Tuna who was the most unlucky guy in this journey to visit his relative who became a monk in a temple. It was so unique. I never experienced it. It let me think about belief. What kind of situation will I put down everything and become a monk? It was really hard to do that because I had too much desire. People needed to give up and make a strong decision and then can get that. I admired them and really felt curious why they would do that. The temple was so quiet. When we walked into it, we got peace. On the other hand, he tried to remind us to keep silent. This was Tuna’s hometown. His mother often sent him here and experience monk’s life. When he worshiped the god, I could feel his religiousness.

Also, today we needed to climb a mountain which called Ox mountain. Compare to Shouka, it was more easily. When we climbed on the top of the mountain, I faced a ranger. We had a short talk. I could feel his passion for this island because he just got a hand and wrist surgery. However, he still came to the mountain to carry out his job. I can’t say that Taiwan is the best place to visit, but Taiwan is definitely the best place for people cycling around. Here are many convenient stores and you could feel people’s human interest. What’s the best, there are many night markets in Taiwan. I look forward to seeing that authorities could push some policies to invite foreigners to come to this beautiful island. I loved this island very much.
