Day 6, today we had huge change from our schedule. Originally, we would ride bicycle from Tainan to Kaohsiung, and tomorrow we would arrive Kenting. However From Kaohsiung to Kenting, the distance was almost 120 kilometer. It meant that if we followed our schedule. When we arrived Kenting, we must be exhausted at the time. That’s why we changed our schedule. On the Day 6, we would not stay Kaohsiung and then go to Pingtung directly. For me, I thought it was a good decision. I had done some training before this journey. Nevertheless, for some dreamers, it was their first time to ride over hundred kilometers. It was a challenge. Unfortunately, Tuna who had a flat tire and got cramp had a flat tire again before starting today’s route. What’s worse, I was arranged with him at the same team, so I needed to accompany with him to the bike shop and waited for his bike to be fixed. But, I rejected it.
In my opinion, if we faced this problem at the half of route, I must wait for and accompany with him. And the leader had already told him that his tire needed to change new one in order to prevent this situation from happening. I did not blame Tuna and I also knew that it was not his fault although he needed to take some responsibility by himself. I just considered that if I did not fight it for myself, I definitely felt regret. Finally, the leader respected my view and I was arranged into pioneer team.
We ran so fast today. The average speed was about thirty meters in the pioneer team. Soon, we passed through Kaohsiung urban district and arrived today’s destination Pingtung. Behind us, there were some interesting things about other dreamers. Tuna finally found a bike shop and succeeded in changed his tire. He tried to use map and ask some people to follow us. He came across a kind person who rode motorcycle and he brought Tuna to the right way. At last, Tuna caught up with other dreamers. Before that, other dreamers used their tempo to follow pioneer team. During the route, they went to a convenient store, and a shop assistance gave them Slurpee which was kind of shaved ice for free. And he hoped that other dreamers could not take any picture because he was afraid that he would get fired. Eventually, all dreamers congregated again. Our dinner was hot pot shop. The owner gave us a discount after they knew we came from Taipei and cycled Formosa. In this journey, we met a lot of people like her. Taiwanese people are so enthusiastic.

Pioneer team’s duty is to ride as fast as possible in order to set a goal for behind dreamers. And almost dreamers in pioneer team have extra stamina to take care others but not me.:)
