Cycling Formosa - Day 12 - From Hualien City to Yilan

Day 12, in this journey we met two boys who came from Hong Kong. Some part of our routine would be the same. Sometimes we would try to help them and arranged hostel to live with us if the hostel had extra room. They were college students. They were so independent. One of them specialized in taking picture. After I came back home, I went to confirm his blog. The pictures were extremely gorgeous. I felt so touch because a foreign friend could use his unique angle to see this island. On the day 11, we lived in the same hostel and then today we would take the train together to pass the Suhua Highway. Because this route was so dangerous, we decided to take the train to get by this area. Many people came across car accident in this area. In the daytime, it was so hazardous. If people rode the bike in the night, it would be considered a kind of commit suicide. When I was junior college students, I have ridden this Sohua Highway before. I thought at the time that I was too young to neglect the danger. I remembered that I was always a enthusiastic boy. I almost forget this feeling which be hid in my deep mind. Perhaps this journey was a way to evoke my soul again. On the other hand, I suddenly felt isolated. Because this journey was closed to the ending, I already started to miss this memory. We arrived in Yilan County and then we went to Lotong night market for our dinner. Today was really like the travelling. We went to rent tandem bike for fun. We did not follow the schedule in hurry and enjoyed our leisure time. I even bought some souvenir and snack and sent them back to my home for my parents and my sisters. To be honestly, before I decided to do this journey, my mother was really worried. She has heart disease so I would not let her feel nervous. Nevertheless, I really thirsted to complete this dream so I promise I would called back home to report I was fine when I arrived every destination. At last, we got the deal and I initiated my journey.
