Day 9, today Jing Ting, one of the dreamers, faced a terrible problem. On the way to next destination, her legs became inflamed. She felt so pain that she could not ride any more. However, the location was so remote. The downtown was in a far distance. The only thing that we could do was to ask for help from locals. We were so lucky at the time. We found out a owner who sold coconuts. He was willing to drive his truck and bring Jing Ting to our next destination. What’s the best, he did us a favor for free. He said that he liked people who had dream to cycle Taiwan. This sentence really encouraged us. After Jing Ting left us, we keep setting up our journey. Today our destination was Taitung Chenggong. The distance was about one hundred five kilometers. However, after we experienced some many challenge, we saw it as an easy mission. We still found out the famous steamed stuffed bun to enjoy. Furthermore, we visited a tourist attraction. Water was going up the river. It was so unique. Because waiting for Jing Ting, we really spent too much time. As we arrived hostel, it was 8 pm. I was totally exhausted. On the other hand, in this journey, my huge enemy was not distance, my ability or facing rainy day but shaved ice. I got a severe cough from the beginning of this journey. Unfortunately, other dreamers liked to eat shaved ice, ice juice and any thing including ice. I liked the atmosphere, so when they decided to eat that, I like to follow. It was really hard to resist it. That’s why after I came from this journey, my cough was still severe.
